It turns out that
Pi Day was a good day for Christian to be born into our family. It took over seven hours and two epidurals (I hope it was two-for-one day ...) to get half way through the labor process. But once we hit the half way point, it was only ninety more minutes until he arrived.
He was a week early (thirty nine weeks instead of forty weeks) and still weighed in at nine pounds and nine ounces and twenty one and a half inches. He is not a small baby, but Katie has some experience with delivering large babies.
He has lots of dark hair, which fits well with our phase two children. Our phase one children all had a dearth of blonde hair; our phase two children have a plethora of dark hair.
He is a mellow baby, and both he and Katie are doing well. Here are some pictures.
